Does SQT Bio Microneedling hurt?
You may feel a tingling or prickly sensation during treatment, which can last for a few hours afterwards. It’s not painful but slightly uncomfortable.
Is there any downtime?
No bleeding or broken skin, but redness and dryness may occur for a few days post-treatment. You can not put anything at all on your skin for at least 24 hours post treatment and need to keep your face out of strong sun for at least 7 days. You need to avoid any strong heat for at least 48 hours, hot baths, showers, exercise etc
How many sessions will I need?
For best results, we recommend 3–6 sessions spaced 2–4 weeks apart, depending on your skin concerns. If you have more problematic skin such as acne or scarring you will need a course. The treatment covers the face but not neck as part of the standard package
What conditions does it treat?
SQT is effective for acne, hyperpigmentation, dull skin, fine lines, large pore appearance and rough texture.
Can it be combined with other treatments?
Yes, it can be part of a personalised skin rejuvenation programme. Its also important to remember that your home skin care routine and your lifestyle will play a huge part in the appearance of your skin.
What is the difference between bio microneedling and traditional pen microneedling?
SQT Bio microneedling uses a natural product, applied in clinic as opposed to a pen with tiny needles. The bio microneedling creates between 3 and 5 million micro channels whereas pen needling creates about 90,000. As a result, one session of bio microneedling is the equivalent of around 3 sessions on pen microneedling and so is considered to be much more effective. Bio microneedling also renews the skin cells in 7-10 days whereas pen microneedling it takes around 28 days.
Is it safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
While it’s a natural treatment, it is not suitable for anyone pregnant or breastfeeding.
