Is laser hair removal painful?
Most clients describe it as a quick, mild snapping sensation. Our advanced technology includes cooling features for added comfort.
How many sessions will I need?
The truth is it varies based on factors like hair colour, hair thickness, skin tone and other factors like hormones. As a broad indication for most people its between 8 and 12 sessions, it can be 6 but this is not common place for everyone. On occasions it can be more than 12 for some, on areas where there is extremely thick hair and testosterone driving the growth, such as the back.
Can all skin tones be treated?
Yes, our technology is safe and effective on all skin tones.
Can all hair colours be treated?
No, no laser can treat white, blonde, grey or red hair. If you see anyone advertising this then don’t believe it!
Is it safe for intimate areas?
Absolutely. Laser hair removal is safe and effective for Brazilian and Hollywood treatments. We provide a towel to cover you during the treatment or if you feel its preferable for you, you can leave your underwear on and we will work round it as best we can.
What should I do before and after treatment?
Avoid sun exposure, we cannot treat on tanned skin so have to wait between 4 and 6 weeks after tanning. Come to the appointment with clean dry skin and shave entirely before, leaving only a very small area so we can see the colour and thickness of the hair in each area, just a few mm in a small place is fine. Post-treatment for 48 hours, keep the area cool, no external heat such as hot baths, hot showers, hot tubs, saunas and no strenuous exercise. It’s best to wear comfy loose clothing to the appointment and no sun exposure for at least 7 days after treatment. Its really important to follow this advice to ensure your skin safety.
Will the hair grow back?
Laser is not a permanent. Some fine hair may return over time, so a single top up session is required after a course periodically, but most clients enjoy long-lasting smoothness.
What happens during a consultation and patch test?
Patch tests are mandatory for all laser treatments. We will send you a link by email to fill in a form beforehand with various questions about your skin/hair and medical history. We will read through this before you come in and explain everything that you may need to know during the consultation, explain more about how laser works, the post treatment advice and go through any questions you have as well as what you can expect. We then patch tests in any area(s) you may consider having treatment. For the patch test you need to come with hair in the area(s) so we can see the colour and thickness.
